Your first dentist’s appointment is often a source of great stress and concern. That’s why we at Kravos & Guadagno adopt a protocol which aims to make your first appointment as enjoyable and pleasant as possible.
What can I expect from my first dental appointment?
From your first phone call with our administrative team, we learn as much as we can about you as a patient: why you’ve decided to book an appointment, past experiences, and more. All this information is noted down in your file, and at the end of each phone call, you’ll receive a welcome email. During your first appointment, you’ll be welcomed by our clinic coordinator, who will show you around the practice and help you fill in the necessary forms and go through any other paperwork on our digital tablets.
How long will my first appointment last?
The duration of your first appointment is one hour: throughout the course of this hour, we’ll discuss your medical history, perform any necessary X-rays, apply Diagnodent and use an intraoral scanner to detect any signs of tooth decay. You’ll be booked in for a follow-up appointment which will last between 45 minutes and 1 hour in order to go through your personalized treatment plan.
What will happen in the following appointments?
For every visit throughout your treatment plan, you’ll be welcomed by calming music and scents, with a range of videos available for you to watch before your appointment. We’ll also apply a cream to your lips to protect them and avoid chapping. All of these details are guaranteed to make your appointment a more pleasant experience.
