PREVENTION

Following the health of the baby's mouth allows us to safeguard the first teeth to be born from decay.

TATTO

The little one faces the visit in total harmony and will be put at ease without the use of any gas or sedatives.

INVESTMENT

Monitoring the growth and health of your child's mouth allows us to prevent and save money over time.

Do you want to protect your child’s health while letting them experience the dentist without stress and anxiety?

Find out how Kravos & Guadagno’s firm follows toddlers and why it is important to monitor their mouths from an early age.

When is the time to take your child to the dentist? Is it really worth it to have him followed by a specialist, knowing that he will lose the baby teeth present in his mouth?
Unconsciously, a parent thinks that the appropriate time to have him or her examined is after their child has lost all of his or her baby teeth.
Is it possible that there is no way to be able to protect the health of your child's mouth, without making him or her experience the dentist with anxiety and stress?
Why give them a negative experience when there is a chance to educate and care for them in harmony and serenity, accompanying them through the various stages of their lives with a smile?

What are the advantages of relying on a specialist?

The total peace of mind with which the little one faces the visit in harmony and the approach that is used by our entire team.

We are Michela, Simone, and Francesco, and we welcome you to the Kravos and Guadagno dental office, a multidisciplinary practice that can offer professionalism, avant-garde and synergy in a single facility at the service of your health.

For us, children, in addition to being like blank sheets of paper in which it is important to understand what to write on them, but above all how to write on them, are also, and above all, the GREAT OF TOMORROW.

In the course of our experience, we noticed that most of the children who came for their first visit, between the ages of 8 and 10, already had a mouth full of cavities and a very strong fear of the dentist caused precisely by previous negative experiences.

Being parents ourselves, and always wanting to see them happy and healthy, we wanted to pay special attention to PREVENTION of the mouth of the youngest children, so as to:

  • Let them experience dentistry with peace of mind.
  • Follow them as they grow and avoid problems they may develop in the future,
  • Prepare them to follow guidelines for proper teeth cleaning.
  • Empower them and prepare them for when they have their own fixed teeth.

This is why in our multidisciplinary practice we employ a pediatric dentistry specialist.

Hear for yourself the voice of our little patients

You may be thinking now:

“Eh but each child is his own; mine, for example, is an earthquake. How do you make him comfortable?”

Precisely because we value both the personal relationship that is established with the child and the fact that before the tooth to be treated there is a child to be protected, morally and medically the Kravos and Guadagno practice has chosen not to use any gases or sedatives and to make available all the experience and professionalism of a highly qualified staff specialized in dealing with children. This allows us to calm even the most difficult children because we empower them, make them part of what’s going on, what’s going to happen, and with our signature patience and tact, we get them to cooperate with us as if it were a big game.

What if I want to be seen while my child is in treatment?

Our multidisciplinary practice allows for simultaneous, multiple visits with professionals. This is thanks to the many rooms and the very efficient secretary who will find a solution to meet your needs in terms of time and schedule.

The organization, services offered and technology are worthy of a clinical reality of excellence.

We are located in the historic center of Trieste, in the most convenient place to reach either by car or on foot; a 10-minute walk from the train station.

In addition, our practice uses all anti-COVID-19 safety protocols recommended by the Ministry of Health and the National Association of Italian Dentists.

    Frequently asked questions

The first visit to the dentist: at what age ?
According to the Ministry of Health's Clinical Recommendations, "it is advisable that the first dental visit be made around 18 to 24 months regardless of whether dental problems are present or not." >>> Do not wait until your child complains of tooth pain to take him or her to the dentist but habituate him or her from an early age so that he or she can become familiar with the environment, the dental staff, and can enjoy the new experience in a pleasant and non-traumatic way ☺ This will promote the establishment of a close relationship of trust and cooperation between the dentist and the little patient!
Should baby teeth be cared for ?
Absolutely, baby teeth that have caries should be treated! Because baby teeth have a large pulp chamber and reduced thicknesses of enamel and dentin above, the carious process progresses rapidly and can cause the appearance of pain, abscesses, and/or fistulas in a short time. In addition to functional and esthetic damage, if not adequately treated, milk tooth caries can also lead to major consequences for the permanent replacement tooth and the entire mouth ☹ >>> It is very important not to neglect oral hygiene and care of baby teeth!
    What are sealings ?
Sealing is a caries prevention method that consists of mechanically closing grooves and dimples present on the chewing (occlusal) surface of posterior dental elements in order to create a protective physical barrier against food substrates and cariogenic bacteria. In fact, the occlusal surfaces of the posterior elements are those most at risk of caries: it is estimated that about 80 percent of carious lesions in patients between 5 and 17 years of age affect these very surfaces. >>> Sealing is particularly indicated for the first permanent molars in 6- to 7-year-old children because of the greater susceptibility of these newly erupted teeth to caries and in teeth that have been erupted for several years depending on the individual patient's carioreceptivity and oral hygiene!
